Apple Opens Medical Clinics
Apple Inc. is preparing to open a group of medical clinics – well, for its employees. The AC Wellness Network will offer primary healthcare to not only Apple staff but also their dependants. The news surfaced earlier this week. Read on.
Apple’s Health Centre Initiative
Well maybe an ‘apple a day’ doesn’t really keep the doctor away. Technology giant, Apple, announced that it would be launching health clinics called “AC Wellness” for its employees in spring 2018 (March – June in Northern Hemisphere). This will be part of employee perks.
According to a website which Apple created for the initiative, the clinics will offer “a unique concierge-like healthcare experience for employees and their dependents.” In the current, the company promotes its watch which does more than tracking your fitness. It is much more of a health-monitoring device.
“AC Wellness is an independent medical practice exclusively dedicated to delivering Passionate, Compassionate, and Effective Healthcare to Apple employees and their families … in multiple stunning, state of the art Wellness Centers,” the post reads.
Patient files won’t be hacked either.
“We believe in Trusting, Accessible Relationships with our patients, enabled by beautiful and seamless technological experiences. We foster an environment of continuous learning and teamwork,” the company added.
Career Opportunities
Although outsiders won’t receive the health care services from Apple, like they do with other Apple products, there is more good news to this initiative.
AC Wellness is hiring! The subsidiary is looking to hire medical practitioners; doctors, nurses, health coaches and “designers”. The company is also looking for a primary care physician who will assist in “preventing future disease” and “preventive care” with readiness to implement such methods using new technology. Where Will Apple Base its Clinics?
The two AC Wellness clinics will be based in California in the United Sates. That is, the same location where Apple headquarters are located. One clinic will sit directly at the Apple office park.
